Mrs. Horan's Practice Tips!
1) PRACTICE! Try to practice three to four days a week for 20-30 minutes. Remember, Practice makes better!
2) PRACTICE SLOWLY! Play the exercise slowly a few times and then increase the speed as you get more comfortable with it.
3) IDENTIFY YOUR TROUBLE SPOTS. If you play a wrong note or are having trouble with a certain part, circle it, and practice that part slowly at least five or six times.
4) REPETITION. Once you have practiced your trouble spots, play each exercise 3-5 times.
5) KEEP A STEADY BEAT. Remember to keep a steady beat by tapping your foot gently or using a metronome.
